Cookie Policy

1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how dingx GmbH ("dingx", "we") uses cookies and similar technologies on the dingx website and application. It complements our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels, SDKs) work in comparable ways. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, keep you signed in, keep the service secure, and — where you allow it — measure how the site is used.
3. Our approach and your consent
dingx sets no cookies while you browse. Not on the public website, and not in the signed-in app. We use no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no cross-site tracking of any kind.
One exception, and it only happens if you act. When you enter card details, our payment processor Stripe sets cookies it needs to process that payment and to prevent fraud. Browsing the app sets nothing; the cookies appear only at the moment the card field opens, and only because you asked to pay. They are strictly necessary for a service you requested, which is why there is still nothing to consent to and still no banner.
Because there is nothing optional to agree to, we show no consent banner. A banner asking permission for nothing would be noise rather than consent.
The other thing we store is described in section 4: the signed-in app keeps your session in your browser's temporary storage so a page refresh does not sign you out. That, too, is strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for, and the law does not require consent for it.
This reflects both Swiss law — the information duty under FMG Art. 45c for Swiss visitors — and the EU GDPR / ePrivacy opt-in requirement for visitors in the EU/EEA. If we ever introduce analytics or marketing technologies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before anything is set.
4. What we store on your device
The public website (dingx.ch) stores nothing at all — no
cookies, no local storage, no session storage. You can browse every page, read the FAQ and join
the waitlist without anything being kept on your device by us.
The signed-in app (app.dingx.ch) stores one thing while you
browse, and a second only if you pay:

Session storage is per-tab and is discarded by your browser when the tab closes. It is not sent to other websites and cannot be used to track you across them. Stripe's cookies are set by Stripe under its own cookie policy and are not read by dingx.
5. Third-party content
Some site content is served from dingx's own systems (for example the FAQ is fetched from a dingx API), which places no tracking cookies. The website's typeface is delivered by a third-party font service: loading a page therefore sends that provider your IP address, as any web request does, and nothing else — it sets no cookies. How we handle transfers abroad is described in section 7 of the Privacy Policy. We are working to serve the typeface ourselves, which would remove that request entirely.
Our sign-up and contact forms are our own; nothing loads from a third party when a page opens. When you submit the waitlist or newsletter form, what you entered goes to Brevo, our e-mail provider — together with your IP address, as with any request. The contact form goes to our own systems.
Apart from that, we embed no third-party advertising, social-media or analytics scripts. Card payments are handled by Stripe, which sets its own strictly necessary cookies at the moment you enter card details — see sections 3 and 4.
6. Managing your cookies
There are no optional cookies to switch off, so there is nothing for you to manage here — and no preferences panel, because there would be nothing in it.
If you want to clear the sign-in session the app keeps, closing the browser tab does it. You
can also block or clear site data in your browser settings; note that blocking storage for
app.dingx.ch will sign you out on every page refresh.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes. The current version, with its effective date, is always available on the website; material changes (such as introducing analytics) take effect only after this policy has been updated and, where required, your consent has been obtained.
